SACC's Policies and Procedures

Location and Entrance to SACC

SACC is located at the very back of the building.  You may walk down the back alley (through the yellow poles) to the first set of blue double doors.  Ring the door bell and a staff member will welcome you in.  Just remember to have your photo ID ready to show our staff if you are new to our SACC family!

Check In Procedures

Each registered SACC child is to come to the center at 3:00 when the school dismissal bell rings.  They are to bring their belongings and place them in a basket.  We individually check in each student and direct them to snack.  If your child is scheduled to be in SACC, please call and let us know if your plans have changed.  We have to account for each child and it saves a lot of time if we know that there has been a change in pick-up plans!

Snack

SACC provides a nutritious snack each day from 3:00-3:15.  A snack menu is posted in LCS for each month.

Homework Policy

We have homework hour each day from 3:15-4:15.  We do not make homework mandatory unless we are told otherwise, we trust the children to know what their homework is and when it needs to be completed.  If your child needs to complete his/her homework before leaving SACC please let us know and also discuss it with your child.  We will do all we can to work with and help each child get their homework completed.  But we do expect each one to come prepared to work!

Pick-up and Check-Out Procedures

When you come to pick up your child we ask that you please log out the time and your initials on the provided clipboard each day.  When you leave with your child, we ask that you say "good-bye" to staff rather than "disappearing."  This will ensure your child's safety.  If someone other than yourself will be picking up your child, please notify us by telephone, email, or note.  Children will only be released to persons indicated on the pick up form or other notifications.  We will also expect to see identification on any person we are not familiar with so please ask that everyone comes prepared with that.  If there is someone who is not to be allowed to pick up your child, it is necessary for you to have a copy of legal documents on file in the school office.  We feel that our pick-up and check-out policies are in the best interest and safety of your child.
