Kingsport City Schools recently submitted a proposal for federal funding through the Safe Schools/Healthy Students initiative. This $6 million project will address: Safe School Environments and Violence Prevention Activities; Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug Prevention; Student Behavioral, Social and Emotional Supports; Mental Health Services; and Early Childhood Social and Emotional Learning Programs.
